Presidant’s Message

This project report highlights accomplishments in healthcare, education and childcare. The past years have been a time of challenge and opportunity, but through the myriad changes, Foundation KANTI SOCIAL FOUNDATION – founded in 1995 in Kolkata – remains one of the leading programs of its type and is poised to achieve even higher levels of excellence in the future. These developments are highlighted in this project report, along with descriptions of other projects that ensure that Foundation KANTI SOCIAL FOUNDATION provides an ever-evolving portal for mobilizing and equipping the marginalized and the most vulnerable social groups with skills and tools to know and respond to concrete realities of their world.

The Foundation has rededicated itself to producing greater results for children, education and healthcare, and producing them more effectively, more systematically and more efficiently. This is made possible, in part, by our donors. Our work was also enhanced by increased efficiency in the man agement of grants and close cooperation with like-minded partners who have coalesced around the Millennium Development Goals and the under lying Millennium Declaration.

New partnerships were formed, and others were reinvigorated, all around the common objectives of saving children’s lives, getting children into school and helping them stay there, combating diseases, and reducing hunger and poverty. These efforts are paying off, yielding meaningful results that show promise in bringing the target communities closer to the Goals, and children and families closer to healthier, more secure lives.

But momentum must be built and maintained, and it is this urgency that drives us. We must use the current situation as a reason for optimism, and a daily reminder that the poor and the marginalized social groups still need our help and our commitment to the issues that affect them. Your contributions play a critical role in our ability to serve the poor and the most vulnerable groups in Katihar district of Bihar state and beyond.

I thank you all for your support, and I hope we can count on your continued investment in alleviating the suffering for our target groups for years to come. We look forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead.
